All Eden wants is to rewind the clock. To live that day again. She would do everything differently. Not laugh at his jokes or ignore the way he was looking at her that night. And she would definitely lock her bedroom door.
But Eden can’t turn back time. So she buries the truth, along with the girl she used to be. She pretends she doesn’t need friends, doesn’t need love, doesn’t need justice. But as her world unravels, one thing becomes clear: the only person who can save Eden … is Eden.

An emotionally raw journey through the aftermath of trauma, "The Way I Used to Be" by Amber Smith is a exploration of the effects of sexual assault on a teenage girl named Eden. It is a compelling and necessary read that sheds light on the importance of empathy, understanding, and support for survivors, reminder of the human capacity for healing and resilience. The book felt so real because of writing it was hard very hard for me to process so much graphic details of emotions. I mean what can I say it is painful, it is too overwhelming, the writing makes you feel you're watching eden and you will love her but also dislike her at some point and you will feel pity and wish may someone never have to go through something like this.
It's a great, great book.First time reading something like this and i love it.
