लेखक अमला अधिकारी मूलतः काव्यकार हुन् । सिन्धुलीको सुदूर गाउँ बाहुनतिल्पुङमा शिक्षण पेसामा रमाइरहेकी अमलाको आश्रम चौथो गजल सङ्ग्रह हो ।

अमला गजलमात्र लेख्दिनन्, गजलमा गाउँ लेख्छिन् । गाउँको सुन्दरता टपक्क टिपेर गजल मार्फत गाउँको सग्लो तस्वीर तपाइँ हामी सामु राख्छिन् । यसकारण पनि उनको गजल जिउँदो छ ।

अमला अधिकारीको पहिलो उपन्यास आलय प्रकाशित छ । गाउँको निखुर भाषामा मर्मस्पर्शी कलाबाजी गरेर उनले पहिलो उपन्यासमै गजबको तरङ्ग ल्याइदिएकी छन् ।

Writer Amala Adhikari is basically a poet. Aashram is the fourth ghazal collection of Amala, who is enjoying her teaching profession in Bahuntilpung, a remote village of Sindhuli.

Amala doesn't just write ghazals, she writes villages in ghazals. She put the whole picture of the village in front of us through ghazals, capturing the beauty of the village. 

In her first novel 'Aalay', she created sensational acrobatics in the simple language of the village.
