The book tries to explain that simple design of service is not enough in tourism service because of its special characters. Service natures such as intangibility, variability, inseparability, perishability, tourism service is process. At the same time Tourism nature such as joint effort and "here and there" nature, make it necessary to productization. 
Productization is to commercialization of service and sale as tangible goods in tourism market.
