About the Author
Shreekumar Varma is a poet, playwright, novelist, journalist and teacher based in Chennai. His novels include Lament of Mohini and Devils Garden, and he is the author of the plays Platform, Midnight Hotel and the award-winning Dark Lord and Bow of Rama. His poetry has been published in several international anthologies. Marias Room was longlisted for the inaugural Man Asian Literary Prize.
