Legislation Formulation and Implementation in Federal Nepal

This study aims at decoding the legislation formulation process of Nepal under the federal structure; track the status of business-related legislation presented at the legislatures, and analyze the factors that hinder the formulation and implementation of legislation in Nepal with case studies.

The first part of the study contextualizes the legislation formulation process under the federal structure, which takes place in three tiers – the federal parliament, state parliament, and local assembly.

The second part of the study, thus, delves into the factors that hinder the efficiency of the legislature and how it affects businesses.
