About the Book

The book Boy’s Life chronicles the events in the life of a 11-year-old boy, Cory Mackenson, who lives in the idyllic town of Zephyr, Alabama. This is a place where monsters swim the river deeply and friends are forever. On a cold spring morning, Cory and his father witness a car plunging into the town’s lake. Cory’s father makes desperate efforts to rescue the car. He comes face to face with the terrible vision of death, which goes on to haunt him for life. While the innocent Cory tries to understand his father’s pain and struggle, the 11-year-old also has to grapple with the evil that is lurking in his hometown. His hometown also holds many more secrets from the violent clan of moonshiners to a mystical woman who can hear the dead and bewitch the living.

Amidst being surrounded by evil and his father who is fighting off the terrible vision, Cory has to save himself and his father. How he goes about it is the rest of the story.
