Newspaper cartoons are often topical, and they cease to be of interest once their subjects lose public relevance. However, most of Batsyayana's cartoons retain their charm even when the context is changed. Despite familiarity, the agony, the suffering, the joys and most of all the bewilderment of the characters in his cartoons maintain their novelty long after what they have said become stale.
