The OG book is should say. Hazel and Gus's love story, set against the backdrop of their battles with cancer, is heart-wrenching yet beautifully written. The love story is not your typical young adult romance. What makes this book exceptional is the authenticity of the characters. We can see that the plot follows a somewhat predictable trajectory, it's the depth of the characters and the rawness of their emotions that set this book apart. Keep your tissues handy because you're going to shed tears here! I cried a lot and couldn't get over it for days.I also loved how the movie turned out because I don't like books being adapted to a movie, they just don't do any justice to the book. But it is safe to say that this movie does the justice despite leaving details behind. Highly recommended for readers who appreciate powerful storytelling filled with emotions.
