Dr. Pramod Dhakal

Pramod Dhakal is the Member-Secretary of the Open University of Nepal Initiative Steering Committee, based at the Ministry of Education in Kathmandu, Nepal. He received a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Indian Institute of Technology and M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada, all in Electrical Engineering. He carries varied experiences from the industry and academia through his successfully executed roles as a high school teacher, faculty member of a university, senior engineer, software developer, system analyst, software architect, senior consultant, senior scientist, head of a university department, and a manager of engineering research and development. His career has mostly evolved around teaching, software, telecommunication systems, and engineering research.
