महावीर पुन एक नेपाली वैज्ञानिक, शिक्षक, सामाजिक उद्यमी तथा हिमालयका दुर्गम क्षेत्रहरूको विकासित ताररहित प्रविधिको प्रयोगमा आफ्नो व्यापक कार्यका लागि प्रसिद्ध एक कार्यकर्ता हुन् जसलाई नेपाल वायरलेस नेटवर्किङ परियोजना पनि भनिन्छ। उनी नेपालका बहुचर्चित व्यक्तित्व हुन्। उनको कार्यलाई अशोका फाउन्डेसन, रमन म्याग्सेसे फाउन्डेसन, नेब्रास्का विश्वविद्यालय र ग्लोबल आइडियाज बैंकले मान्यता दिएको छ। उनी एक मानवतावादी हुन् जसको कामले धेरै युवाहरूलाई आफ्नै देश फर्काउन र यसको विकासको लागि यसको सेवा गर्न प्रेरित गरिरहेको छ।
Mahabir Pun is a Nepali researcher, teacher, social entrepreneur and an activist known for his work in applying wireless technologies to develop remote areas of the Himalayas, also known as the Nepal Wireless Networking Project. He is a widely known figure in Nepal, and his work has been recognized by the Ashoka Foundation, the Ramon Magsaysay Foundation, University of Nebraska, and Global Ideas Bank.
