डा. भेष बहादुर थापा नेपालका पूर्व राजदूत, पूर्व परराष्ट्रमन्त्री तथा नेपाल राष्ट्र बैङ्कका चौथो गभर्नर हुन् । नेपाल राष्ट्र बैङ्कका गभर्नरको रूपमा सन् १९६६ मा काम गरेका यिनले त्यसपश्चात अर्थसचिव, अर्थराज्यमन्त्री र अर्थमन्त्रीको पदभार क्रमसँगै सम्हालेका थिए । नेपालको राजदूतको रूपमा अमेरिका दुई पटक र भारतमा एक पटक काम गरिसकेका यिनी ज्ञानेन्द्र शाहको पालामा परराष्ट्र मन्त्री बनेका थिए।
उनी नेपालको परराष्ट्र सम्बन्ध र कूटनीति सम्बन्धका विद्वान मानिन्छन्। नेपालको परराष्ट्र मामिलामा बेला बेला यिनले प्रतिकृया दिने गरेका छन्।नेपालमा रहेका विदेशी कूटनीतिज्ञहरूले कूटनीतिक सीमा नाघेकोमा हालै यिनले आपत्ति जनाएका छन्।
Bhesh Bahadur Thapa is a foreign affairs expert and diplomat. He is former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nepal. He was fourth Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank from 14 August 1966 to 26 July 1967. He was Minister of Finance between 1976 and 1978 A.D after serving as State Minister of Finance and Secretary of Finance Ministry. He has twice served as Ambassador to USA (1980–1985 & 1996). He has served as former Nepalese ambassador to India from 1997 to 2003. He also headed the National Advisory Committee for 18th SAARC summit that was held at Kathmandu on November 2014. Currently, he is working as EPG (Eminent Person's Group) coordinator representing Nepal on reviewing bilateral treaties between India and Nepal.
