भवानी भिक्षु (वि.सं.१९६६ जेठ २१ – २०३८ बैशाख ४ गते) नेपाली कथाकार र उपन्यासकार थिए । उनी आधुनिक नेपाली कथाको फाँटमा मैनाली र कोइरालापछिका तेस्रा हस्ताक्षर हुन् । गुनकेसरी (२०१७), मैयाँसाहेब (२०१७), आवर्त (२०१४), अवान्तर (२०१४) उनका केही कथासङग्रहहरु हुन् ।
भिक्षुको खास नाम नोहरराम गुप्ता हो, उनी सानामा रोगी थिए। घरको कहालीलाग्दो आर्थिक अवस्थाका कारण उनी वाल्यकालमा झोक्राएर नै बामे सरे। त्यसैताका उनलाई बिफरले आक्रान्त बनायो। त्यसै बिमारले उनी थला परे। भिक्षुले स्वाध्ययनबाट नै हिन्दी, अङ्ग्रेजी, बङ्गाली र उर्दू भाषामा राम्रो दक्षता प्राप्त गरेको पाइन्छ।
Nohor Ram Gupta, professionally known as Bhawani Bhikshu is a Nepali writer, poet, literary journalist, academic and novelist. He has written multiple novels and short stories. Aagat, a novel published in 1975 is one of his best known books.
After completing his education till fourth grade in a language school in his village, he was sent to his maternal house in India. He gave Hindi-medium Kulbhusan examination at the age of 12 in India in which he received the second position. After completing his education, he started working as a copywriter in a Nepalese government office. He started being interested in writing in Nepali during his time as a copywriter.
He worked as the editor of Sharada magazine in 1951. He worked for Royal Nepal Academy after its establishment in 1957. He received the prestigious Madan Puraskar for his novel Aagat in 1975 (2032 BS). He also won the Sajha Puraskar for the same novel.
