Putali ko Ghar (Home of the Butterfly) by Pushpa Basnet releasing this Friday

Ghanashyam Khadka celebrates the release of his new book "Putali ko Ghar" documenting the real-life journey of a young woman Pushpa Basnet who crosses path with a nine-month-old baby girl in a prison in Kathmandu, the incident changing her life forever. The book poignantly narrates her early life giving us a glimpse into who she was, how she went on to do work that has changed the lives of many and became the CNN Hero in 2012, and CNN Super Hero in 2016. This book is a deep dive into the life and work of this Hero, known as Mamu (Mother) by her many children and took three years to come to life.

All proceeds from the sale of this book will go towards Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) for our butterflies, (whose parents are incarcerated) beginning the 2076 academic year.
