After developing a passion for the Ganges nearly two decades ago, author and photographer Alain Carayol has returned to it fifteen times over as many years, tracing the river from its source to its mouth. In Mother Ganges he vividly and eloquently recounts many of the moving and exciting moments of his travels as well as the whole range of emotions he felt.
