The Golem, Man of Earth

A golem is a man-made man created to protect the Jews from the murders, massacres, and pogroms that came about as a result of the blood libel, a lie which said that Jews killed Christian children to obtain blood for their Passover celebration. The Maharal, the righteous rabbi of Prague, creates a golem. But does he achieve what he hoped to?
