Library Book Supply In Nepal

May 12, 2024 10:16

Imagine a Nepal, where every village, every city, no matter how remote, has access to a treasure of knowledge through well-stocked libraries. While this might seem like a distant dream, various companies have recognized the importance of such library establishment initiatives and have integrated library establishment as a part of their CSR campaigns. Numerous NGOs and INGOs are also committed to empowering people with knowledge through the establishment of libraries.

In the past couple of years, we also had the privilege to be a part of various initiatives led by different stakeholders contributing to enrich libraries. With each project, our  mission of making a diverse catalog of books available for Nepal has become stronger.

  1. Thread Code Technologies

Mr. Sampurna Chhantyal, the founder of Thread Code Technologies, shared that he is always on the lookout for resources that can enrich their work environment and provide continuous learning opportunities for the team. Nurturing this mindset of continuous learning, Thuprai has been instrumental in supplying books for libraries for the company as well as his home.

  1. Junkiri: the Feminist Library

Aimed at providing easy access to feminist literature, tools, and resources, we had the opportunity to supply books written by female authors to the Junkiri library. This initiative by the library will play a substantial role in building and empowering females across the country.

  1. KAM for Sustainable Development

KAM for SUD, a Swiss NGO, has been planting seeds of change in Nepal in the fields of education, health, ecology, and the protection of children. With an opportunity to contribute to their noble cause, we supplied 100+ books to their library establishment project.

  1. Kalika Adharbhut Vidhyalaya

Recognizing the critical role of access to books in fostering literacy and knowledge, we supplied 700+ books to the library project of Kalika Adharkut Vidhyalaya to provide a diverse selection of books tailored to the unique needs and interests of their local community. This partnership will serve as an enabler to bring the joy of reading and learning to even the most distant corners of Nepal.

  1. Book Asia

We also got a chance to Build Bridges across countries and make Nepali books accessible by the world. Book Asia is a supplier of foreign language books to public libraries worldwide. Seeking to expand their Nepali titles in their library, we had the opportunity to bulk supply numerous Nepali books across diverse genres to them. Public libraries worldwide can now easily source Nepalese books from Book Asia.
