Susie Norris

Susie Norris is a pastry chef and writes about food and culture. Her two books are CHOCOLATE BLISS (Random House, 2008) and HAND-CRAFTED CANDY BARS (Chronicle, 2013). The newest, A BAKER'S PASSPORT, will be published in November, 2018. She taught baking at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts and ran an award-winning chocolate business in Los Angeles for 10 years. Her culinary travel blog, FOOD MARKET GYPSY, won the International Association of Culinary Professionals' Digital Media Award in 2016. She is based in California with roots in the Bourbon country of Kentucky and the Berkshire Hills of Massachusetts.

Prior to her work in the food business, Susie was an executive at Disney/ABC, CBS, NBC and other networks where she supervised television writing and production. She has a B.A. degree in English Literature from Boston College and certificates in professional baking and chocolate work. She has written for The University of Southern California and Larchmont Charter School. She has 3 grown children, 3 dogs, and one husband...a writer.
