Susie Lee Jin

SUSIE LEE JIN grew up in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, where she spent many happy days reading, drawing, sculpting, painting, and playing pretend in her back yard. After studying English at Duke University and being certified in elementary education, she had the pleasure of teaching 3rd grade in Charlotte, NC. Susie later moved to New York City and attended the MFA Illustration program at the School of Visual Arts. She has been daydreaming and drawing stories ever since. Her first picture book MINE! (Simon & Schuster, Jan 2016), is about a bunch of bunnies vying for ownership of a big carrot.

Susie now lives and works in northern New Jersey. She enjoys writing poetry, gardening, and exploring zoos and aquariums with her family.
