Steve Patschke is a retired Elementary School Librarian who has had great fun teaching and introducing fantastic stories to children for over thirty years. He lives with his family near Woodstock New York and in sunny Florida. He loves dressing up for Halloween and reading his Halloween books to children of all ages. Sometimes when he reads he takes his black cat “Max” along. Max is jet black with wide yellow eyes and looks just like a Halloween cat. He takes a nap, takes a little bath, then listens while Steve reads all the spooky stores he has written. Steve has published three picture books for children entitled, “Don’t Look At It! Don’t Touch it!” (a reprint through Templar Books in 2021 with the renowned French illustrator Roland Garrigue), “Don’t Look At It! Don’t Touch It!” (a 1996 version with the illustrator Julie Durrell), and “The Spooky Book” (will illustrator Matthew McElligott in 1999)
