Kamal Dixit

Kamal Dixit (1929-2016) was a veteran Nepali litterateur who made a pivotal contribution to Nepali language and literature. Dixit penned more than six dozen books along with many short stories, memoirs, essays, and literary pieces. He also established Madan Puraskar Pustakalaya and Madan Puraskar Guthi in 1995 in the memory of Madan Shumsher. The Guthi not only collects and archives Nepal’s literature but also awards prestigious 'Madan Puraskar' and 'Jagadama Shri Puraskar' to authors every year.
