Hozon

Since the early 1960s, Japan's ancient and modern architecture has drawn architects from all over the world. The Japanese approach to conservation, however, has only recently become a fascinating topic. For the first time, a Western magazine makes an effort to describe the Japanese practice of Hozon, or the rehabilitation of old buildings.
