कथालय – “आहत उजेलीहरु” दीपक समीरको कथा संग्रह मुनामदनको डिभोर्स पार्टी मा समावेश कथामा आधारित लाइभ स्टोरीटेलिङ प्रस्तुति हो ।

तीन लाखभन्दा बढी नेपाली युवा वैदेशिक रोजगारीका लागि विदेशमा छन् । तीमध्ये हरेक दिन औसतमा चार जनाको शव त्रिभुवन अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय विमानस्थलको कार्गो टर्मिनलमा नेपाल फर्किन्छ । आहत उजेलीहरु यही वास्तविकतामा आधारित कथा हो ।

भोजपुरका एक युवा नुरुमान परिवारको आशा बोकेर वैदेशिक रोजगारीका लागि खाडी मुलुक पुग्छन् । तर सडक दुर्घटनामा उनको मृत्यु हुन्छ र उनको शव नेपाल ल्याइन्छ । उनकी श्रीमती उजेली र परिवारका सदस्यहरू त्रिभुवन अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय विमानस्थलको कार्गो भवनमा उनको शव पर्खिरहेका हुन्छन् ।

कथाले शव विमानस्थलमा आइपुगेदेखि भोजपुरस्थित उनको घरसम्मको लामो यात्रासम्मको एक रातलाई पछ्याउँछ । यस क्रममा नुरुमान र उजेलीबीचको प्रेम, गाउँको सामाजिक जीवन, वैदेशिक रोजगारीका कारण परिवारले भोग्नुपर्ने पीडा र नुरुमानको मृत्युपछि परिवारको भविष्यमा आउन सक्ने चुनौतीहरूलाई प्रस्तुत गरिएको छ ।

आहत उजेलीहरु नेपाली समाजका धेरै परिवारले भोगिरहेको वैदेशिक रोजगारी र आप्रवासनको यथार्थसँग जोडिएको कथा हो । यस प्रस्तुतिले वैदेशिक रोजगारीको पछाडि लुकेको मानवीय पीडा, परिवारको विछोड र त्यसको सामाजिक प्रभावलाई नजिकबाट देखाउने प्रयास गर्छ ।

Kathalaya – “Aahat Ujeliharu” is a live storytelling performance based on a story from Dipak Samir's collection Munamadan ko Divorce Party.

More than three million Nepali youth are working abroad, and every day, an average of four migrant workers return home in coffins through the cargo terminal of Tribhuvan International Airport. Aahat Ujeliharu tells the story of one such family and the human reality behind foreign employment.

Nuruman, a young man from Bhojpur, leaves Nepal for work in the Gulf, carrying the hopes and expectations of his family with him. He dies in a road accident, and his body is brought back to Nepal. His wife, Ujeli, and their relatives wait at the cargo terminal of Tribhuvan International Airport to receive his body.

The story follows one night, from the moment Nuruman's body arrives at the airport to the long journey back to his home in Bhojpur. Along the way, it explores the couple's relationship, the realities of village life, the emotional cost of foreign employment, and the uncertainty faced by the family after his death.

Presented through live storytelling, music, songs, contemporary dance, and silent acting, Aahat Ujeliharu brings together different forms of performance to tell a deeply familiar Nepali story. The production explores the human cost of migration, the pain of separation, and the impact of foreign employment on families and communities.
