Ramlal Joshi's Aina wins Madan Puraskar

Ramlal Joshi's collection of stories, "Aina", has won this year's Madan Puraskar, Madan Puraskar Guthi announced the winner on Tuesday.

Nilam Karki Niharika's 'Chirharan', Ghanashyam Khadka's 'Nirban', Bhuwanhari Sigdel's 'Amoi', Sarita Tiwari's 'Prasnaharuko Karkhana', Damodar Pudasaini Kishor's 'Simanaka Rang Simanaka Tarang' and Buddhisagar's 'Phirphire'  were the other hopefuls competing for the literary prize.

Similarly, Madan Puraskar Guthi has decided to give this year's Jagadamba Shree Puraskar to Lil Bahadur Chettri, the 84-year-old Assamese author of Nepali origin, recognizing his more than six-decade-long contribution to Nepali literature. Chettri is well known for his novel "Basain".
