Rhythm In Roots Umesh Shah Solo Exhibition

Rhythm in Roots is a collection of paintings and etchings that reflect lifestyle in Sarlahi where Umesh Shah spent his childhood. He grew up observing his grandmother paint traditional Mithila Art with natural pigments and clay. He translates the rhythm in the repetition of chores, the beauty he finds in his roots and in nature.

Rhythm in Roots marks Umesh's sixth solo exhibition in Nepal following his series on the same theme “Invention in Tradition”. The watercolor work will be on display for the first time.

Umesh Shah has held a solo exhibition in India, participated in three national exhibitions and a number of group exhibitions and workshops in Nepal, India, Japan, Taiwan and Russia. His works are in major public and private collections in Nepal, India,China, Europe, South America and the USA.
